The Liverpool School of Architecture is excited to announce the Labid Al-Fakhri Scholarship  for the academic session 2025/2026. With a value of £20,000 per year, this scholarship honors the legacy of Labid Al-Fakhri and is available to students pursuing BA Architecture or March programs.

The educational grant is open to students from Iraq, those of Iraqi heritage, or individuals from specified Middle Eastern countries. Applicants must hold an offer to study BA Architecture or MArch at the Liverpool School of Architecture, demonstrate strong academic merit and creative potential through their application and portfolio, and maintain excellent academic progress and professional behavior during the program.

    • Admissible Criteria: To qualify, applicants must:
    1. Be from Iraq, of Iraqi heritage, or one of the other specified countries and be able to demonstrate this.
    2. Hold an offer to study one of the eligible programs at the Liverpool School of Architecture.
    3. Submit a strong application and portfolio demonstrating academic and creative merit.
    4. Maintain academic progress and professional behavior throughout the duration of the scholarship.
    5. Agree to update the Donor on academic achievements and participate in promotional activities for the scholarship and program as requested.

    Scholarship Application Guidelines:

    • Application Process: All eligible applicants holding an offer for the 2025/26 academic year will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
    • Submission: Applications are reviewed based on the quality of the academic program application and the submitted portfolio.
    • Outcome Notification: The successful candidate will be informed by Monday, 30 June 2025.

    Scholarship Benefits

    • The scholarship provides a £20,000 annual tuition fee reduction, spread across the duration of the program:
      • Two years for MArch
      • Three years for BA Architecture
    • Any remaining balance, if the scholarship exceeds tuition costs, can be used for living expenses or course-related materials.
