The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts is eagerly awaiting applications from excellent students for its Jay Goldenberg Legacy Scholarships in the USA.

To be eligible for admission to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA), overseas applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate a strong passion for acting. Admission is based on a combination of academic records, an audition, and a personal statement.

The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts is a private drama school in New York City. It was originally conceived for the purpose of training actors for film and television acting and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre to offer associate degrees.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

  • Eligible Countries: Open to international students
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for any subject offered by the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
  • Admissible Criteria:
    • Must be 18 years or older by the start of the Fall 2025 semester.
    • Must intend to study in New York, beginning Fall 2025.
    • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (85/100) and maintain a 3.5 GPAthroughout their studies.

Scholarship Application Guidelines:

To be considered for the Jay Goldenberg Legacy Scholarship, applicants must submit the following by March 7, 2025:

  • Application Form for Fall 2025
  • Completed Audition
  • One Letter of Recommendation
  • Essay
  • High School Transcript/Secondary School Academic Records
  • Headshot
  • Legacy Scholarship Application Form
  • Legacy Scholarship Artistic Review Responses
  • Non-native English speakers must also submit an English language proficiency test or an approved waiver.

Benefits

  • Scholarship recipients will only pay for their initial semester’s tuition.
  • The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts Foundation will cover the tuition for the remaining three semesters, allowing students to complete their Associate Degree.
