The American Concrete Institute Foundation Scholarships is a non-profit organization established by the American Concrete Institute to support innovation, advancement, and cooperation through support for studies and scholarships, while also serving as an independent resource to provide thoughtful management and planned direction to the concrete sector.

However, based on essays, submitted information and endorsements, the ACI Foundation Scholarship Council will pick scholarship applicants and fellowship applicants who appear to have the greatest mixture of potential and interest for professional achievement in the specific sector.

Any candidate chosen as a finalist for the scholarship will be notified by February 4, 2022 and must be available to attend an interview with the Scholarship Council on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the spring ACI Concrete Convention. The American Concrete Institute Foundation Scholarships will pay for the flight, hotel, registration, and will also include a travel stipend.

Worth of American Concrete Institute Foundation Scholarships for International Students

• The scholarship provides candidates with $10,000 – $15,000 US educational stipend for tuition, residence, books, and materials.
• Candidates also enjoy paid travel expenses and attendance fees to two American Concrete Institute conventions. (fellowship finalists must attend the Spring ACI Convention to be interviewed where they have the option of being assigned a Convention Guide);
• Each candidate are also assisted in finding an industry mentor.

Eligibility for American Concrete Institute Foundation Scholarships for International Students

• Candidates required Language must be English so if English is not your native language, a written statement must be attached to the application confirming this proficiency. You can upload a copy of your TOEFL score to your application as this is optional and not required.
• All world countries are eligible for the American Concrete Institute Foundation Scholarships.
• American Concrete Institute Foundation Scholarships can be awarded to anyone in the world; but, you must attend a university in the Gulf Cooperation Council region during the award year (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates).
• The scholarship can also be awarded to international students; however, you must attend a U.S. or Canadian institution during the award cycle.
• The educational stipend is paid in two equal installments over the course of one year directly to the student to cover expenses related to tuition, room and board, books, student fees, etc.
• Applicant of stipends is random upon attendance at scheduled ACI Concrete Conventions during the award cycle.
• Please note that scholarship awardees are expected to submit a written report near the end of their scholarship period describing the value of the scholarship to their personal development and to their preparation for their chosen career after graduation. For more information click here

Program Period for American Concrete Institute Foundation Scholarships for International Students: The Student Fellowship applicants are qualified to apply and compete for these awards on a year-to-year basis, but must reapply each year, so long as they are still eligible.
