Scholarship Eligibility:
- Eligible Countries: All UK nationals and foreign students can apply.
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Students can apply for a postgraduate research degree program at the Accounting, Finance & Economics at the University of Greenwich.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- The applicants must have previous research experience (e.g., undergraduate or taught master’s dissertation).
- The applicants must have experience, prior knowledge of Stata, and prior research using the Synthetic Control Method.
- The applicants must understand the fundamental differences between a taught degree and a research degree in terms of approach and personal discipline/motivation, able to, under guidance, complete independent work successfully.
Scholarship Application Guidelines :
- How to Apply: Candidates are required to make an admission application online. The students must upload all supporting documents to the qualification section of the application form in a single pdf to be considered.
- Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:

- Academic qualification certificates/transcripts
- Research Proposal
- Your complete tabular CV
- Two reference letters
- IELTS(English Language certificate if they are an international applicant)
- Admission Requirements: The applicants must have 1 st Class or 2nd Class, First Division (Upper Second Class) honors degree or a taught master’s degree with a minimum average of 60% in all assessment areas (UK or UK equivalent) in a relevant area to the proposed research project.
- Language Requirement: The students must submit scores on the following English language proficiency tests:
- IELTS – 6.5
Scholarship Benefits:
The University of Greenwich will provide the selected candidates with year 1: £17,668 (FT); Year 2: In line with the UKRI rate; Year 3: In line with the UKRI rate. In addition, the successful candidate will receive a contribution to tuition fees equivalent to the university’s Home rate, currently £4,596 (FT), for the duration of their scholarship. This fee is subject to an annual increase. International applicants will need to pay the remaining tuition fee for their scholarship.
