Scholarship Eligibility:

  • International students are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be eligible or fully admitted to the University of Oregon. By 15 January, all new students must apply for admission to the UO for fall. 
  • Candidate citizens of the United States are not eligible for federal financial assistance, nor are they permanent residents of the United States.
  • Financial need must be demonstrated by applicants.
  • The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0.
  • In order to participate in the ICSP, students must agree to complete 80 hours of cultural service each year.
  • Strong academic records are required
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Candidates should also have demonstrated performance and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated financial need

Scholarship Application Guidelines:

  • The current UO students must first log in to the UO Scholarship Dashboard, then submit the General Application, ISSS Endowed Scholarship Application and ICSP Scholarship Application.
  • All applications and Reference Letters must be submitted by 18 February at 4 p.m. (PST).

The application process for incoming freshmen, transfer students, new graduates, and new post-baccalaureate students

  • Interested candidates must first apply for admission to the University of Oregon before applying for UO scholarships.
  • The second step is to watch your email for an invitation to the University of Oregon Scholarship Dashboard. After you submit your application for admission, you will hear within a week.
  • STEP 3: Applicants must log in to the UO Scholarship Dashboard and submit the General Application, ISSS Endowed Scholarship Application and ICSP Scholarship Application. Prior to this step, you must apply for admission

Scholarship Benefits :

Applicants who are selected for the program will receive a one-term non-resident tuition-free scholarship. Scholarship amounts will remain the same each term.
