SPORT SCHOLARSHIP: University of Stirling, UK International Sport Scholarship
University of Stirling International Sports Scholarship Programme is one of the largest high performance sports programmes in the UK and has supported 700 student athletes since its inception in 1981, sending athletes to Olympic, World and Commonwealth Games.
The University of Stirling provides the ideal environment for talented athletes to develop and flourish in their chosen sport, providing expert support and a comprehensive collection of world-class facilities set on campus.

The University of Stirling is a public university in Stirling, Scotland, founded by royal charter in 1967. It is located in the Central Belt of Scotland, built within the walled Airthrey Castle estate.
Stirling was designated as Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence by the Scottish Government in 2008. Scholarships are available in five core sports: football, golf, swimming, tennis and triathlon, which allow student athletes to prepare for international competition.

University of Stirling offers sports scholarships to talented student athletes helping them to fulfil their potential and support students competing in their core sports, listed below, and other sports if at an international level*:
University of Stirling core sports are:
- football
- golf
- swimming
- tennis
- triathlon
- curling
*Other sports must feature in BUCS, Commonwealth, Olympic or Paralympic programmes.
Scholarship Application Guidelines:
To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must hold – or be in the process of applying for – a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme at the University of Stirling. Students must also meet the sport-specific qualification criteria.
Download and complete an application form and return before the start of semester in September. Places are confirmed by post before the start of the semester each year.
